Our Farewell to Schweinfurt
Your task this quarter will be to complete an administration-commissioned farewell video for Schweinfurt High School. This video will be shown at the closing ceremony. Each week of this quarter I require one storyboarded sequence and one batch of recorded footage that matches that storyboard. Each student is required to complete one storyboard/shot sequence per week. Our goal is to have a wide range of shots to work with when we edit the final video.
Storyboards
Your storyboards are due by the end of class on Monday and must meet the following requirements:
Storyboards which do not meet these requirements will not receive full credit. Storyboards turned in late will receive half credit.
Shooting
Capture the footage you planned in your storyboards. Each batch of recorded footage should feature one class, club, team or group and should feature movement or dancing that matches Pharrell's song "Happy". Your footage will be compared to your storyboards and graded based on how closely your shots match your storyboard. Variations due to unavailability of specific students or props will be taken into account, but students should make every effort to plan footage they can capture on school grounds during the class day. Shooting must be finished before Friday's class.
A = Shot footage matches storyboards exactly
B = Shot footage varies from storyboards slightly
C = Slight variation in shot types due to specific students or props being unavailable or variation in shot type or angle
D = Content and location of shot footage does not match
F = No footage captured
Publishing
Students must publish a clip from the week's shooting assignment before the end of Friday's class or the end of the week during a shortened week. Late uploads will received partial credit.
